Connells reports increased demand from buyers and sellers
Local estate agency Connells is reporting an increase in both buyer and seller appetite suggesting that the market is still active and customers are no longer waiting for the outcome of Brexit to decide their next move.
Compared to July last year, across its network, Connells was instructed to sell 15% more houses, saw an 11% rise in people viewing property and registered a 7% increase in the number of those looking to buy.*
“We’ve all heard the ongoing doom and gloom in the media surrounding Brexit uncertainties and its impact on the housing market, and our figures go to show that despite this, the local market has experienced a bounce back,” says David Plumtree, Group Estate Agency Chief Executive. “The fact is that life carries on, with many people still wanting and needing to move home for a variety of reasons, and we are here to help them find the best possible options.
“We’re calling for more properties, buyers and sellers to make the most of this current active market,” continues David. “Traditionally we find that once the summer and school holidays draw to a close, buyers have a renewed interest in moving, meaning now is a great time to get prepared and get your property on the market.”
If you have a property to sell and would like to arrange a free market appraisal on your home, please contact your local Connells branch.
